It has been a good and busy summer so far. I have not been able to find the time to do much posting on the blog, which I really miss. My new job is super busy and I find myself super tired when I get home.
Weekends have been spent either cleaning the townhouse, or playing out in the mountains, or just being with friends and family.
Here are a few pictures of what's been going on.....
My son Joe graduated from Ranger School in Georgia last week. 9 weeks of intense training, and I am so very proud of him. If you aren't familiar with what it means to be a Ranger, then you can google it, or youtube it....its not a boyscout camp. My new saying is "Don't Mess with Me. I raised a Ranger"!!! LOL
As if that wasn't enough to make me happy, my daughter called me a few weeks ago to tell me I am finally gonna be a Grandma!!! As of today she is 9 weeks along....I am over the top happy.
Went camping at Dinosaur Provincial Park with some friends over the August long weekend.
What a blast! We climbed all over the hills, had camp fires, ate some good food, and spent almost 4 hours floating down a river on a hot summer day. Made some good memories with some really good friends!
Ben is still working for the same guy doing landscaping. He works hard, and I am proud of him. He's also getting pretty handsome if I do say so myself!!
Friday night "DATE NIGHT" consists of getting some coffee and tea, some sandwiches and heading up into the mountains. This particular night we drove in Kananaskis and through the Peter Lougheed Highway. It was a gorgeous night. We stopped and took pictures, enjoyed the fresh air, found a patch of wild strawberries, and saw a really gorgeous moose eating grass on the side of the road.
Of all the options for going out, this has to be my favorite thing we do.
God has been really good to us and I've never been happier!!
