I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!
This year we flew my daughter, her husband and thier two children up from Houston to spend time with us. Those of you who follow my blog, or know me personally know that my daughter is expecting her first baby and is due in March 2012. I have been more than overjoyed about the idea of having a little grandbaby joining our family tree. The hard part is that we are so far away...and I have not been able to share very much in the experience with her.
I have been able to feel him move and kick and its been wonderful...I've talked to him and told him I love him in hopes he will remember my voice. Its amazing to see her and be able to be near her during this time.
It's been really great to have the kids and Daniel here too. Sammy & Elise are so funny and really sweet. They've taken to Calvin, I mean who wouldn't huh?
This Christmas Season I really wanted to focus more on memories and family. Everyone always talks about how Christmas has gotten too commercial, but I don't really notice anyone doing anything to change that. So, I made sure we made the point to put our money where our mouths were, and made sure family was first. It's been just wonderful.
I wish you a Happy New Year in 2012.
