Days of Summer

Summer is moving along at a pretty quick pace if you ask me.

I have not had much time to stop and smell the flowers...
but they sure look nice.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

Hello there, and Happy Independance Day!!!  It is nice to be here in the good ol' USA for such a day and to celebrate with my family and my son who recently spent four years and three tours in Afghanistan serving this great country!!!

Today we are gonna start the day off swimming at the pool and then I will make some chili cheese dogs and yam fries for dinner and we will just hang out together!!!

Some time with Joe...

Today was a great day....woke up...spent some time on the couch watching CAKE BOSS with the kids and then got ready to go hang out with Joe at Jessica's apartment so we could talk.

 Ok, I admit this isn't the best picture of Joe..I mean what is he looking at anyway..??? the camera was straight ahead of us...LOL...but I have been so happy to spend time with him and do some much needed "heart to heart" chit chats.

What we talked about is between us, and please don't take it personal-but that is the way it will stay...between us...but rest assured...it was amazing and I enjoyed every minute of the time we had together this morning.

I am so glad I came for this visit....

Monday

Today we got up and had a slow cup of coffee and some bagels and then got ready to go shopping on Harwin Street...

What is so great about Harwin Street????  Well, there are tons of shops jam packed with goodies, oh and did I mention they are cheap goodies??  Purses, scarves, shoes, perfume, luggage, clothing, t-shirts, fabric, jewelry, hats, etc...the list goes on and on...

We sure did get some cool stuff...wish we could have shopped longer...but it was lunch time so we headed off to Panera....then Marble slab for an ice cream cone.

It was a great day!!!

Bits & Pieces

I got in to Houston on  Saturday afternoon....and I'm not sure if its just me...but I think this flight with the layover in Dallas is just cursed.  Last time I missed my connecting flight due to weather and had to sleep in the airport...

Well, this time the plane in Dallas; (which was the connecting flight), had problems with its breaks so it was delayed...an hour later they got that fixed and loaded us all into the cabin..soon to be on our way.... but wait, there's another problem....the loading ramp would not disconnect from the plane ... so we were left in the plane waiting on the tarmack roasting for over and hour...UGG!!!

No air conditioning, no food, and no water...and we all were just sweating like pigs....and I got a hot flash and it was not pretty...sigh...

But I did make it, and here are a few pictures of today...more to come I promise...I'm just very tired tonight.
