Sunday...

We have been so busy and have done so much...I don't know how I can catch it all up in one post...but I will try.

The dinner my Dad cooked was AMAZING!!!  We sat around and visited late into the evening...

Saturday I went to my favorite hair dresser in Houston and she styled my hair...then Amanda and I came home and we all headed out.  Daniel took us to lunch at this ultra cool place called "The Americas".  It is South American food...we had Daniel order for the whole table and he did a GREAT job.  We had so much delicious food, and we enjoyed discussing the art in the restaurant with the waiter.  

After Lunch we went to see the KING TUT exhibit.  Of course the museum would not allow us to take pictures, but if you've seen anything on-line or on a Documentary...that is what we saw.  It was amazing.  I kept finding myself in disbelief as I looked at the relics that were found in tombs of people that had lived thousands of years ago.  That chapters of the Bible described of the Egyptians and their ways and possessions and now, here I was actually in the presence of those items. 

 Then we went for Gelato and Coffee.  It was a really nice day.

I have so much more to tell you, but it will have to wait till later....I am pooped out!!

Howdy Ya'll,

It is Thursday and I am having a wonderful time.  Yesterday my Dad & Mom came in from Michigan.  Annette had made the kids each a quilt...she is so thoughtful and talented.   Went to dinner at Willie G's and everyone, except me pigged out on crawfish.

After dinner we went shopping at Central Market.  My Dad went crazy in there...fresh fish, squid, tons of bottles of olive oils, breads, cheeses....on and on.  Finished the night off at Starbucks.....

Today we went to the Mall and unfortunately I ended up with a migraine....and we had to cut the shopping short.  Bummer. 

Tonight Dad is going to cook an italian feast....can't wait.

Oh, and last night Dominic and I had a sleep over...he slept in my room so Amanda and Daniel could get a good nights sleep!!!!  He only woke up twice and you better believe I enjoyed spending that time with him.

For now, I am soaking in every moment.

Houston, we had a problem...

Howdy Ya'll!!!

Well, I finally made it into Houston this morning....THIS morning?  Yeah, my journey started on Tuesday afternoon.  My departing flight from Houston was to leave Calgary at 2:35p.m.  The delay was almost 3 hours long!!!  We did not get on our way till after 5p.m.!!!!!!  My connecting flight to Houston left at  9:00p.m., needless to say that when we taxied in at 9:49p.m....I had missed it.

I spent the night at the Dallas Airport....Where did I sleep?  Well, I kinda felt like Goldilocks...tried the chairs...too small, tried the floor, too hard...then finally found a cot....and well, it was ALLright.

My daughter picked me up around 8:00a.m. this morning...and even though I was worn out and sore, I still had a great day.  Met my grandson Dominic...he has stolen my heart completely.  He smells like hope, love and promise....his eyes melt my heart.

Mandy, Dom and I took off to the Heights and had lunch at a vegetarian cafe...then did some re-sale shopping and vintage clothing shopping.  Great day!!! 

I am ready for bed, and for another day with my family.
