GNP...again

As you know, Cal & I LOVE Glacier National Park....so we headed down to Montana in the "Happy Camper Van' for a weekend get away trip a few weekends back.

Logan Pass had just opened on July 13th!!!!  There was so much snow up in the mountains, I was amazed.  When we got to the lodge near Mount Reynolds I couldn't believe my eyes....check out how high these banks of snow are.

Just a reminder, these pictures were taken on July 16th, 2011!!!

The waterfalls were just amazing as the heavy amounts of snow were melting and the rivers were swollen and running very fast through the valleys.  Cal and I spent a lot of time looking around with the binoculars, which by the way, my son baught him for Father's Day and just a little hint, Mom now wants a pair of her own!

If you could experience just once for yourself how it feels to stand and look down into this valley and feel the wind against your skin, and hear the voice of the many waterfalls, and smell the earth and pine that fills the air, you too would come back again and again....

Cal and I plan to go to GNP and the surrounding area as much as we can.  Each time we see something new, meet super nice people and make great memories.

I will be doing a post soon on the "Happy Camper Van" so stay tuned.

Hope you are all having a happy and safe summer!!!

When I married my wonderful husband I also married his couch.  It is a plain old boring couch....it does the job...you can relax on it, watch movies, talk on the phone, etc....but it really isn't the couch of my dreams.

When we first were married we had to blend styles, he had none, and I loved cottage/shabby chic style.

Happily we have come together on a style that we both like.  The couch does not really go with it, and since we are saving for a new car it will be a while before we can get one we both like.

I found some pillow covers at the Pottery Barn on sale that go with our new agreed upon style and they actually make the couch look cozy.

Looking much better now....

We are getting there....
