Saturday Cal & I headed over to Black Diamond for thier Discovery Days.  Basically a small town, doing what small towns do when they celebrate in the summer.  Parade complete with clowns, horses and of course fire trucks...horns blowing and lights flashing.

We enjoyed looking at the vintage cars that were on display too.

(If you want to enlarge the photos just click on them)

Cal really liked the Torino!!

He talked to the owner of this Willy for quite a while.  Learned that pretty much everything in this 1947 vehicle is original.

This truck was an extended cab classic truck that this man customized for himself and his wife.  It is two different trucks and has a diesel engine in it so it can pull a big 5th wheel camper!!

He used frying pans to cap the ends of the air intake!

Then we headed over to Turner Valley which is just about two minutes away and we enjoyed watching this group of riders do formations to music on their horses...

We ate at the Chuck Wagon Cafe which is one of our favorite places.  It is decorated in western outdoor style inside and the food is terrific!!

Then we headed over to this field where they had different booths set up, and a petting zoo!!!  I kinda wished I was little again so I could hold a little squeeling piglet or a cute little bunny!

This little calf did not look like he was having a good time!

BUT, we sure did!!

On the way home we stopped by a swollen river and did a little walking around.  Spring is so pretty here even if it is cold.  If you haven't noticed yet I had on a winter Jacket on June 4th!
