This and that patchwork post

OK, ok,....so I have seriously neglected my posting responsibilities lately...but don't be too hard on me...I finally got a job so I am off the couch and not at home during the day anymore.

Cal and Ben have been just great with helping me out around the house...but they can't blog for me.

Ben has been doing the dishes, mopping, folding laundry....really, he has....I know...I'm amazed and proud.
Cal has been helping out by cooking dinner here and there....thought I would share his latest masterpiece.

MMMMM, who wants a bite?

Seriously though, he made the effort, and so for that he gets an "A".

Today Cal & Ben went to get a table that a client sold to us for $15.  Rustic...lovely...totally me.

This will be a lovely addition to my backyard.  Can't ya see the possibilities?

and.....

On a drive out towards Millarville we spotted this lovely girl getting ready to cross the road.  This is the closest I could get, but can you see how BIG this animal is?  I just love Moose.

There has been a lot of other little things going on lately...but since I am working now...and it is Saturday, and I have much to do around the house...laundry, dishes, sweeping, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, and weeding the flower beds...I just don't have time to tell.

Give me a little grace period...I'll be back.

Spring Fever = Camping Fever

Well, despite the crazy weather we've been having around here, my family has SPRING FEVER big time.  Ben and & I raked the front yard and cleaned out the flower beds so that the new sprouts can make their way to the sun.  Cal went and got the camper and started working on it so we can go camping soon.  I love camping.  For years all I ever used were tents, cooked on an open fire, and roughed it back and forth to the outhouse!  I remember waking up in the morning with a coat of dew on everything, including myself....BUT last year we got a camping trailer and now camping is even better!

We have already made some improvements to it; a good cleaning, some re-caulking of windows and I made new curtains for the windows....

Anyone who really knows me, will attest to the fact that I love to decorate, and the camper will be no exception.  I have done some research on-line for ideas..you should see some of the creativity from the ladies who belong to Sisters on the Fly!  I want to paint the walls, recover the cushions, make throw pillows and really use my imagination to turn the trailer into a place where we feel at home while we are camping.  I will post pictures as things get done.

Till then, Happy Spring!
